Self-Catering Terms & Conditions

Bookings: are normally from Saturday to Saturday. Guests are able to access the accommodation from 15.30 (3.30pm.) on the day of arrival and are requested to vacate by 10.00 (10am) on the day of departure.

Booking Fee: There is a booking deposit of £80 and £100 which is held as a good house-keeping deposit and is returnable a day or so after your stay. Should there be any losses, damage or breakages or extra cleaning necessary at the end of your stay, the costs will be deducted from your good house-keeping deposit.

The total hire charge is payable one calendar month before your arrival. If for any reason you do not take up the booking, the booking deposit is non-refundable. Similarly, in the event of cancellation we will endeavour to relet the property for that period and, if successful your hire charge will be returned less any additional charges incurred by us for reletting. However, in the event of us not being able to relet the cost of the holiday will be forfeited unless of course you yourselves are able to relet under the same conditions. Therefore you are respectfully urged to subscribe to a holiday insurance scheme from your own broker or we recommend Travelfirst who seem to have a very comprehensive cover.

Cleaning: The accommodation is thoroughly checked between lettings but it is expected that guests clean throughout before leaving. Cleaning equipment and materials are provided for short holiday lettings.

Garden: I am a keen gardener and am therefore delighted when guests take time out to enjoy the garden after a busy day sightseeing. It is terraced and at each level there are tables and chairs or garden seats where you can relax. There are steps with a hand rail leading down to to river where you can sit and watch the ducks and swans or relax with a drink at sunset. The summerhouse has heating and lighting and is an ideal place to relax with a good book on those cooler days. A gas barbecue, sun umbrellas and outdoor games are available upon request.
